GETTING STARTED

You’re here because your family is experiencing a difficult time. Whether there’s been a death and you’re not sure how things should be handled, or your loved one is experiencing difficulties managing his or her affairs and needs your help, you can count on us to help you navigate what’s next.

We understand that the legal process can be confusing, especially if you’ve never been to court before. That’s where we come in. Let us educate you on the legal process, guide you through the court proceedings, and explain your rights and responsibilities without using any “legalese.”

What makes us different:

We promise you this:

    • 1. We’ll always be responsive. We upload court communication to your client portal when we receive so that you have it when we have it, we provide case updates on a weekly basis, and we always return all communications within 24 hours.
    • 2. We’ll always be compassionate. You’re facing a hard situation, and we get that. We’re here to make it easier, and being understanding and listening to our clients helps us help you.
    • 3. We’ll use our knowledge of the legal processes and relevant law to always give you a realistic understanding of the process, and a realistic expectation of your case and the possible outcomes. Unlike some attorneys, we won’t tell you that you have a case if you don’t.
    • 4. We’re results driven. We understand that you came to our firm because you had a problem, and we’ll do everything we can to solve that problem, so that you can get back to your life.

Schedule a Consultation

The Next Step: a Consultation:

From there, we’ll open a client portal for you, so that you can get us relevant paperwork BEFORE we have our consultation. That way, we’ll have the information we need to understand your circumstances, your goals, and how we can help you. This pre-consultation information gathering means that we will be able to give you realistic advice about your actual case – not just a general overview that most lawyers offer as a free consultation. The consultation is YOUR time, so the better prepared you are, the more we can help you.

Please note: the consultation always remains confidential, even if you do not retain us. If any opposing party contacts us about working for them, they will be informed that we cannot provide services to them.

Using the information that you give to us, we’ll perform an initial analysis, and inform you of the legal steps you’ll need to take to achieve your goal. If your case is a contested case, we will walk you through the strengths and weaknesses of your case so that you have a realistic idea of the possible outcomes. We’ll also discuss case strategy, and timing.

What we gain from the initial consultation is an understanding of what your goals are in your case, and why it is important. Once we understand where you’re coming from, we will educate you on how to achieve your goals within the parameters of the legal system. A huge part of the value of our consultations is the education that we will give you regarding the law as it applies to your case. This education will allow to compare your different options, and decide what works best for you. Whether you decide to go it alone using our DIY PROBATE option, or want to employ our team to take the burden off your shoulders, you’ll know what the next steps are.
